Professors for a Strong Israel

Statement to the Press - 5 July 2005

Re: Call for the resignation of the police inspector-general

Insp.-Gen. Moshe Karadi specified today in the Knesset the prescription for stopping the "disengagement": splitting the police force between the task of ethnic cleansing and the task of keeping the nation's roads passable. He made it clear that the police will be unable to deal with all its usual jobs, since it will be busy with the "national mission" that it has been given. Professors for a Strong Israel repeats its call for the inspector-general to tell his superiors that carrying out the expulsion is an impossible mission, and that he is tendering his resignation.

We also reiterate the statement that we issued a month ago:

More money isn't the answer

The rising tide of violence in the country is not the result of a lack of manpower or funding in the police. It is a result of the redirection of the police away from the fight against crime and highway accidents, in favor of preparations for expelling Jews from their homes. Professors for a Strong Israel rejects the proposal to add funds and men to the police force. We demand that the police and the other security forces be returned to the missions for which they were created. It is futile to complain about lack of resources when these are being wasted on building prison camps for loyal and law-abiding citizens, and when policemen are being trained to wage war against the citizenry.

The transfer will not pass!!!
