Professors for a Strong Israel
Statement to the Press - 5 November 2006
Re: Hollow leadership, indeed
Author-politician David Grossman yesterday characterized the military and
political leadership of the country as "hollow."
Professors for a Strong Israel agrees with this assessment, albeit for
different reasons than Grossman.
The way this country is run, and in particular the way the war in the
Gaza Strip is being run, is a continuation of the fiasco whose dimensions were made
obvious by the second Lebanon war.
The incompetence by which the terrorists trapped in the Bet Hanoun mosque
were allowed to escape is a wonderful example of how this hollow leadership
functions, whether the cause was a screwup by the local military commanders
or a political directive to let the terrorists go, to let more citizens be murdered
by these gangsters, merely to preserve the mosque building.
The hollow pyramid of power needs to be cleaned out, starting at the top.
