Professors for a Strong Israel
Statement to the Press - 6 March 2002
Re: Bye Bye, Shimon
Shimon Peres says he is sorry he joined this government. At Professors
for a Strong Israel, we are sorry, too. And so is most of the nation.
It is time that Arafat's chief advocate resign from the government and let
it get on with its business, which is the protection of Israel's citizens
from Peres' client. This will necessarily involve the painful and
probably bloody reversal of all the damage Peres has caused the country in
the past ten years.
Peres' departure from the government will pave the way for a state commission of
inquiry to investigate the Oslo disaster. Peres, Beilin, and their fellow
conspirators should sit quietly at home and await their summonses, instead of
compounding their crimes through further political involvement and media
performances.
