Re: Urgent personal appeal to Members of the Knesset
In the face of dangerous and irresponsible diplomatic activity by the Olmert-Livni-Barak government, Professors for a Strong Israel has sent an urgent personal appeal to Members of the Knesset. We begin by listing the government's proposals:
- Surrendering our sovereignty over Jerusalem and dividing the Jewish people's eternal capital city
- Handing the heart of the country over to the enemy
- Withdrawal to the "Auschwitz borders" (in the words of Abba Eban)
- Expulsion of tens of thousands of Jews from their homes
- Reduction of the State of Israel to a client state, dependent on the kindness of strangers
The Executive Board of PSI unanimously demands of the MK's that they take up active opposition to the government's intended crimes.
