Professors for a Strong Israel
Statement to the Press - 10 December 2002
Re: The Labor Party primary: Too little, too late
Professors for a Strong Israel congratulates the Labor Party on having rid itself of Yossi Beilin, architect of the Oslo disaster, who failed to win nomination to the next Knesset. Though it comes late, this is a vital step in the reconstruction of a party that has much to its credit. The following steps are required to complete the process:
- A sincere apology to the public for foisting on it the Oslo agreements;
- The final removal of all of Oslo’s architects, beginning with Shimon Peres, from the political stage;
- Devotion of the coming years in opposition to real soul-searching and reappraisal.
