Professors for a Strong Israel
Statement to the Press -

Re: Building in Jerusalem
Professors for a Strong Israel is greatly concerned at the continuing freeze
on building in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza and in Jerusalem.
Representatives of the group met recently with the Minister of the Interior,
with the Mayor of Jerusalem, and with other policy makers in order to demand
the renewal of construction in Jerusalem -- eastward, southward, and northward
-- in order to block the Palestinian expansion.
Our representatives also emphasized the necessity of developing the roads
leading to Jerusalem, as well as their concern at the intention of
implementing the ``Safe Passage'' between Gaza and Hevron, the creation
of which will put an end to the safe passage of Jews on the roads of
central and southern Israel.
