Professors for a Strong Israel

Statement to the Press - 11 June 2001

Re: For a return to sanity

  1. Arafat's terrorists crush the skull of a Jewish baby; tens of Jews are murdered during a "cease fire"; and the government of Israel continues with "security coordination" with the chief terrorist instead of crushing the snake's head.
  2. Margalit Har-Shefi sits in jail; the trial of Avishai Raviv, the GSS' agent provocateur who witnessed the preparations for the Rabin assassination, is still delayed; his former boss, Carmi Gillon, who failed to prevent the murder and was duly fired, is appointed ambassador to Denmark.
  3. The Prime Minister tries to appoint an expert as his advisor on terrorism, but the extreme Left, who brought terror to every corner of the land, announces its opposition; this in disregard of the pink slip it received from the voters in February.
  4. The Israeli media are in an uproar over MK Bishara's identification with the extremist terrorists in Syria, but they welcome the meetings of Jewish and Arab extremists with the arch-terrorist Yasser Arafat in his offices in Gaza and Ramallah.
  5. The government of Israel recites a mantra about loyalty to Jerusalem, but allows a parade of inflamed multitudes in her midst, with flags of the PLO and the Hezbollah, marking the funeral of a terrorist born of a terrorist, all under the guard of Arafat's terrorists.
Professors for a Strong Israel reminds the government that they were elected to turn away from Oslo towards a sane, Zionist policy.
