Professors for a Strong Israel

Statement to the Press - 17 October 2001

Re: Arafat's reply

The assassination of Rehavam Zeevi, Minister of Tourism, is the reply of Arafat and his henchmen to the proposals regarding a Palestinian state that have emerged from the offices of Sharon and Peres. The war against terrorism must become continuous and prolonged, without making distinctions between good and bad terrorism, without giving immunity to terrorists of any rank: a policy with initiative and consistency, not mere revenge. Israel's contribution to the general struggle, as well as to its own peace and security, must be the final elimination of Arafat. Any Palestinian state can rise only on the ashes of the State of Israel.

Professors for a Strong Israel demands that the Prime Minister cut loose from the trap laid by Peres and Arafat and return to the policy for which he was elected.
