Re: Resignations now!
Professors for a Strong Israel is certain that Olmert's desperate
maneuvers will not succeed in blocking the creation of a state commission
of inquiry, which is essential both for the dispassionate identification of
past mistakes and for preparation for the continuing conflict. This
commission will have nothing to do with punishing the guilty; it's not needed
for that. The total failure of Olmert, Peretz, and Livni is already
obvious. We demand their immediate resignation, because their continued
fumbling interferes both with the functioning of the investigative
apparatus and with the beginnings of recovery.
