Professors for a Strong Israel

Statement to the Press - 19 March 2001

Re: When there is no siege, there is murder

Two thirds of the voters rejected the Barak-Beilin-Ben Ami policy that brought us the Oslo War and its growing list of victims. These voters demanded a change - not further discussions with arch-terrorist Arafat and his gangsters, who shoot at us while whining for the cameras.

The shelling of Nahal Oz proves once again that Arafat doesn't distinguish between Jews who happen to be on either side of the "Green Line." The murder in Gush Etzion immediately following the lifting of the siege of Bethlehem proves that it is folly to give one kind of protection to Jews on one side of the line and less protection to their fellows on the other side.

Professors for a Strong Israel demands that Prime Minister Sharon act with resolve and perseverance to bring about a decision in the Oslo War.
