Professors for a Strong Israel
Statement to the Press - 21 May 2001
Re: The Right of Return - to Tunis
The Beilins, the Sarids, and the rest of the architects of the Oslo War are again conducting foreign policy as if there were no elected government in Israel. Again they are the stars of the "state" media, and again they parrot the line that Arafat is the "partner" to whom there is no alternative. Professors for a Strong Israel demands that Zionist Jews be permitted to air their views in the Israeli media as well. Like the Left, we also support a Right of Return: If Arafat returns to Tunis, peace will have a chance.
We also demand an end to this silliness of apologizing for shooting at terrorists. The five Palestinian "policemen" who were killed in Beitunia were terrorists in uniform, and Jibril Rajoub is merely a senior terrorist, not a "diplomat" or "political echelon" with any special immunity. Apologizing for successful strikes at terrorists and at their commanders is puerile.
