Professors for a Strong Israel

Statement to the Press - 21 May 2003

Re: Israel - a supporter of terrorism?

The Knesset has rejected legislation submitted by MK Arieh Eldad that would outlaw the transfer of funds to the Palestinian Terror Authority. Members who purport to represent the National Camp voted with the majority. Thus Israel remains one of the "donor countries," those who continue to infuse money into the terror machine and pour gasoline on the flames of terrorism.

Professors for a Strong Israel demands that the government realize at last that we are in a state of war, with all that is entailed. This will automatically involve the denial of funds to the enemy, the interdiction of movement of armed terrorists in the country (including the Prime Minister's office!), and an end to negotiations aimed at establishing a terrorist state. No sane state supplies tax collection services, employment, and energy resources to an enemy that aspires at her annihilation.
