Professors for a Strong Israel
Statement to the Press - 22 March 2006
Re: Kadima and bird flu
The Olmert government's handling of the bird flu crisis shows lack of
experience, of professionalism, and of leadership. It places the
entire population of Israel in danger. Apparently, political considerations are preventing Olmert and his cohorts from declaring the infection to be a natural disaster and calling a state of emergency.
Nonetheless, the danger posed by Kadima's rule is not that of a natural disaster but of a man-made one, easily foreseen.
Professors for a Strong Israel warns against handing over the state
to Kadima and Olmert, a band that will handle threats to our existence without experience, without professionalism, and without leadership.
