Re: The right way to develop Jerusalem
Professors for a Strong Israel approves of the decision to limit high-rise construction in the center of Jerusalem and adjacent to the Old City. We consider eastward development to be the correct way to develop Israel’s capital. This will preserve the historic center and the essential green spaces to the west, and will create continuity with Ma’ale Adumim that will defend the eastern side of the city from Palestinian expansion. Thus will the distinctive building style, the special atmosphere, and the few forests of the capital be kept from becoming further casualties of the “peace.”
