Re: Pollard Now!
Professors for a Strong Israel welcomes the new initiative by the party leaders in the Knesset and joins them in calling on the Prime Minister to demand the immediate release of Jonathan Pollard. We consider Pollard's release to be a humanitarian gesture that one may expect President Bush to make today. Pollard is an Israeli citizen who has spent more years in an American prison than anyone else convicted of similar offenses. This situation is unprecedented in relations between friendly nations.
