Statement to the Press - 29 October 2002

Re: To win the war, to save the economy

Israel's economy is another casualty of the Oslo War. The Left demands more Oslo surrender as a prescription for rebuilding the economy. Professors for a Strong Israel declares that only the complete defeat of the enemy -- an end to this war of attrition -- can save the economy. When ministers of the Left prevent decisive action they cause the prolongation of the war and multiply its casualties and its damage. Now they call for further injury to the Yesha frontline communities, through additional budget cuts. We call on the Prime Minister to free himself from the Left’s deadly embrace.
